A passion for college admissions
My long-held interest in college admissions dates back to high school when I first started reading books about how to get into college and what college admissions officers are seeking as they review applications. Since then, I've continued to keep abreast of changes in the college admissions field and have served as an alumni interviewer for Stanford University.
I have a deep understanding of the college admissions process and the struggles facing students today as they juggle classes, activities, and stress from expectations — both internal and external.
Drawing upon my recent experience as a parent shepherding my two daughters as they applied to college, I want to help other families navigate the maze of information and deadlines that can too often feel overwhelming and confusing.
Experience guiding students
I have helped students apply to college for several years, guiding them on developing their college applications essays, maximizing their activity and honors lists, and helping them draft deferral and waitlist follow-up letters that highlight their most recent accomplishments and their love & fit for the college.
My superpower is editing essays and teaching students to find their unique voice as they tell their stories.
The students I've advised now attend or have graduated from a wide variety of colleges, including UC Berkeley, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Northeastern University, University of Portland, and Carnegie Mellon University.
